About Us

Here at Claydon Auctioneers our main aim is to provide a personal and professional service. We are a young(ish) team, embracing a fresh outlook towards the antiques world, endeavouring to impart our enthusiasm and love of antiques, whilst championing the old and the new. We consider ourselves to be a ‘new age’ auction house, embracing distance selling in the form of online auctions complementing the traditional auction format. From a provincial auction house in rural Buckinghamshire we can sell to the lady in the next village or a man bidding on their smart phone in Beijing, we are no longer constrained geographical boundaries - antiques really are for everyone!

Antiques & Collectables

We hold regular auctions of antiques and collectables to suit all manner of tastes and budgets. These auctions offer an eclectic mix of ceramics, glass, silver, jewellery, paintings, furniture and much more. For more information, please see our Department pages. 

Paintings & Prints

We hold regular specialist Paintings & Prints auctions, these fine art sales include oils, watercolours, drawings, miniatures, prints and antique frames.

Sporting & Country Pursuits

We hold bi-annual Sporting & Country Pursuits auctions which span all manner of sports including Fishing, Shooting, Football, Golf, Tennis, etc. and comprise a wide range of items from books, memorabilia and paintings to taxidermy, natural history and sporting clothing. These auctions also include the very popular sporting gun section, to include shotguns, rifles and accessories.

General Goods & Chattels 

We conduct quarterly General Goods and Chattels auctions for those items that don’t quite qualify for Antiques and Collectables auctions. These popular sales contain a wide variety of items to include, Georgian and later furniture, paintings, household goods, decorative and collectable items and much more. Whether you have a restoration project in mind, or want to exercise your eco-friendly, creative streak and upcycle some antique furniture, these auctions have something for everyone.
